We are recruiting on behalf of a leading heavy civil contractor with a strong track record delivering complex infrastructure projects across New York City. Due to continued growth and a robust pipeline of MTA work, they are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their team in Brooklyn. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting major transit infrastructure projects, including work with the MTA. As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the successful delivery of large-scale heavy civil projects, with a focus on MTA transit works (e.g., track, stations, tunnels, and associated infrastructure). You will work closely with senior project managers, field teams, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities: Assist in managing all phases of MTA-related construction projects from pre-construction through completion Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination of subcontractors and suppliers Monitor project budgets, track costs, and assist with forecasting and reporting Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Coordinate with field teams to ensure work is progressing according to plans and specifications Maintain compliance with MTA standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements Attend project meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders Support procurement activities and contract administration Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, xywuqvp or related field 2–5 years of experience in heavy civil construction (experience with MTA or similar transit agencies preferred) Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and cost control Familiarity with MTA standards, procedures, and documentation is highly desirable Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, or similar) Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment APPLY today for immediate consideration!
