SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Marketing and Communications Director, the Marketing & Engagement Specialist executes the marketing for projects and events for the Indianapolis Bar Association and Indianapolis Bar Foundation. This team member collaborates with all IndyBar staff and volunteer leaders to successfully oversee the marketing of a variety of programs, products, and events, including but not limited to the Project Responsibilities listed below. The Marketing & Engagement Specialist will be an effective marketer and communicator able to own effective implementation of strategy and creative surrounding general campaigns for the membership-based organization across marketing channels such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Email, Print Media, etc. This role works closely with the Strategic Design Specialist to ensure cohesive and effective promotions that ultimately grow engagement within the membership. CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate across departments to achieve brand consistency, cohesive voice, and coordination of seamless marketing across all channels to implement strategy set by the Marketing & Communications Director & creative developed by the Strategic Design Specialist. Leads execution of all marketing campaigns and events across the organization. Manage timelines, logistics, and rollout for programs, conferences, and initiatives. Own day-to-day social media communication through posting, monitoring, and engagement. Maintain relevant and updated information on www.indybar.org. Assist in tracking and reporting analytics for the website, social media, and email. Assist in the creation of campaigns to attract and retain members/consumers. Other duties and projects may be assigned. PROJECT CREATIVE AND COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITIES: Marketing Execution of all Large-Scale Events (Bench Bar Conference, The Racing Attorney Conference, Annual Gala Dinner, Block Party, Golf Outing, Trivia Night Fundraisers, Recognition Week, Installation Celebration, Community Empowerment Celebration, etc.) Indy Attorneys Network Mentor Connect Document Bank Social Media Posting, Monitoring, and Engagement General Social Media Campaigns for Member Benefits Educational Event Promotions Influential Women in Indiana Coloring Book End-of-Year Educational Program Specials IndyBarHQ Rental Marketing Day-to-Day Website Maintenance Support Analytics Tracking Across Email, Social Media, and Website Annual Online Auction (support) QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, the successful candidate must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. This team member is required to reside in the Indianapolis area and work occasional local early evening events. The ability to multitask, make rational, quick business decisions and work under pressure are important for success. High attention to detail and organization skills are required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and at least three years of communications or marketing experience required. Other preferences include experience with volunteers, social media management, event marketing, some graphic design experience, content management systems, and experience using Adobe Creative Suite. COMPUTER SKILLS: This position requires the employee to understand basic HTML. It requires some experience with CRM software, artificial intelligence tools, knowledge of Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, knowledge of Internet laws and regulations like CAN-SPAM and COPPA. It requires knowledge of the guidelines set by the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), as well as social media sites, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging channels. LANGUAGE SKILLS: The following are essential: ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions and reports. Strong writing ability with the use of proper grammar and punctuation with a high attention to detail and minimal error rate. Ability to write reports and correspondence with very high accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to communicate and sell ideas to colleagues and volunteer leaders.
