Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the successful delivery of a ground-up hotel construction project in NYC. This role will work closely with Project Managers, Project Superintendents and field teams to coordinate all phases of construction, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role works directly with Project Managers in construction management, planning and procurement. The role also supports the Project Superintendent to manage daily field operations, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure the project is built safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans and specifications. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of construction Support project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control efforts Assist the Superintendent in overseeing all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project completion Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, trades, and daily site operations Track deliveries, logistics, and material staging on-site Assist in resolving field issues, conflicts, and coordination challenges Monitor quality of work to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and company standards. Track project progress and prepare regular status reports. Help maintain and enforce the project schedule, ensuring milestones are met Support management of RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractor scopes Maintain daily reports, site logs, and photo documentation of progress Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and final documentation Help ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred 2–5 years of experience in construction project management or field construction supervision Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project) Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment xywuqvp Familiarity with local building codes and safety regulations Preferred Skills Experience working on commercial construction projects in NYC. Hotel construction experience is a plus.
